How often are you sitting at your computer either at work, or at home, and your back is just aching? I know I can raise my hand real quick on that one!
So if you're a golfer, wouldn't it be great to be able to do simple, easy, effective, and even fun golf stretches specific to your golf swing that will eliminate your current back pain,
but also increase your ability to turn more in both your backswing and follow through?
Lower back pain is the culprit for over 80% of all golfers.
That is a statistic that could dramatically improved if you just did these simple stretches daily. This would not take more than a few minutes a day out of your schedule,
but the return on investment would be huge. Isn't it worth a few minutes a day to get rid of nagging back pain...AND...increase your backswing and follow through rotational flexibility?
It's Got To Be Rotational
If you're a golfer, you should be focusing mostly on rotational movements whether it be for power or flexibility.
The golf swing is purely rotational so it only makes sense to apply the biomechanics of the golf swing to any movement you do that enhances it...resulting in higher clubhead speed,
power and ultimately more yards on every shot.
So let's get on with this simple golf stretch you can do right in your chair, whether you're in your office, or at home,
just see how simple and easy it is; do it consistently; and I'll bet you, you're lower back pain will lessen, and your swing will be bigger.

Instructions:
- Sit upright in your office chair, with chest high and back straight.
- Reach behind you with one arm, which will rotate your upper body.
- While staying very erect, twist as far as you can go and hold.
- Twist the other way and repeat.
- Go both sides 2-3 times, holding for 10 seconds.
Benefits to the golf swing:
- Increase rotation of trunk for an improve “x-factor”.
- Loosen up lower back, to reduce strain and tightness, freeing up golf swing.
- Improve ability to rotate upper body over a “fixed” lower body, like in your swing.
See how easy it was? I hope you're doing it right now while you're reading this article. If so, you're no doubt feeling a nice stretch,
and even a "release" in your lower back. Don't worry about how far you rotate, just ease into it, and as you do it more often,
you'll be able to rotate even farther.
This is just one of the several golf swing stretches/exercises in my Power Golf Training Ebook.
I have a whole entire chapter on golf stretches/exercises "in the office". That's only one of 13 chapters in this massive golf training ebook.
